This unassuming little cottage in West End is hooves down one of the best breakfasts in Brisbane. Behind the clean glass windows and through the beautifully polished timber dining room is a gorgeous green garden fine enough for even the fussiest pig to feast.
Creative, clean and kitsch – this Gunshop goldmine consistency delivers the goods with their creative spin on a traditional breakfast, it is no wonder this place has pigs lining up down the street for their award winning breakfasts.
I couldn’t think of a better way to start my day than with toasted olive sourdough, buttery swiss brown mushrooms, herbed ricotta and a side of crispy smoked bacon. My pig pals let me try their delicious avo on toast with potato and feta rosti generously lathered in seasoned sourcream – devilishly delicious!
The bitter: Long lines of pigs waiting to be fed and sometimes the food comes out before the drinks
The sweet: The menu changes regularly so there is always a crazy new creation to taste
The damage: Juice, coffee and packed plate will cost you about 30 piggy pennies.
