1. Bondi Massive:
On top of the hill at the south end of Bondi, Bondi Massive is the perfect place to stop and people watch or make a pit stop before heading to the beach, here you have a menu and a take away cabinet fit for a pig! Personally I go straight for a window seat and order the baked eggs, you can’t go wrong. This brilliant breakfast consists of prosciutto, 2 eggs, machergo cheese and sage placed in a fry pan and thrown under the grill, served with corn salsa and toasted sourdough on the side. Prochitto, perfection….. pig happy.
The bitter: It is small, so when the sun is shining you might have to be a patient pig
The sweet: The service, they will love you as long as you don’t knock Collingwood
The damage: The bill won’t be Massive, you can get a juice, coffee and meal for under $30

Wander down the hill a little further and you will stumble across a big set of windows, some beautiful boars basking in the sun and hoards of people waiting to get in. Once you weasel your way in I have no doubt you will be happy with the mediterranean menu – poached pair porridge for those who like it lite, or for my fellow hungry pigs you can’t go past the Boss Eggs. Being a Truffle Pig, I oinked with joy when I tasted the creamy scrambled eggs mixed with truffle oil teamed with some olive sourdough and smoked salmon. Hello heaven on a plate!
The bitter: If you get seated outside be sure to slip slop slap or you will turn into crackling, no umbrellas here
The sweet: The menu offers all your familiar favourites as well as some exotic eats
The damage: Slightly more expensive, but you will be so full you will skip lunch so its worth the $35 you pay for all the trimmings

3. Deli Bottega:
Tucked away in the back streets, this place is the perfect place to watch the world(or Bondi) go by while sipping on a coffee and scratching your head over what to order from the menu that is for a feast for the eyes as well as your belly. Let me make it easy for you and suggest the pesto eggs, you won’t regret it. Perfectly poached eggs, crisp and crunchy prosciutto and silky smooth homemade pesto stacked upon some perfectly tanned sourdough toast.
The bitter: In the warmers months the service can be slow when pigs are packed in
The sweet: I have dreamt about bathing in that pesto it is that delicious
The damage: Standard breakfast bill, meal and coffee for about $20
Deli Bottega – 144-148 Glenayr Ave, Bondi Beach, NSW 2026
4. Brown Sugar
Don’t underestimate this teeny tiny restaurant, it knows how to produce big and beautiful breakfasts and bunches. For those mornings when can’t quite decide what you feel like, Brown Sugar has the answer – the 5 Side Plate. Tomatoes, rocket, avo, prosciutto and feta – what more could you want? Well… I was really hung over and hungry so I ordered eggs and hash browns too. Don’t judge me! If you tasted it, you would understand. The iced coffee was the exact headache cure I needed to see me through the day, all-in-all the perfect meal.
The bitter: This place is as small as a brown sugar bowl so there is limited space
The sweet: Bunch, I love a place that celebrates the time between breakfast and lunch with another meal
The damage: Standard $25 to fill you up and quench your thirst, unless you’re as hungry as me of course, then you might need a mortgage.

5. Harry’s Expresso
When I think of the name Harry I think of kid or a K9 who is friendly, relaxed and dishevelled, same goes for this happy hang out. The juices are liquid perfection and the toast is even better. The portions are perfect and the ingredients are undeniably fresh. My favourite would have to be the sourdough toast with smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers. You will be served these scumptious slices by the friendly staff who seem to the know their regulars and their dogs by name.
The bitter: Sharing your bench with strangers, I am happy to hear their stories but I don’t want to share mine
The sweet: Cheap, cosy and casual – prepare to eat out of our lap
The damage: barely any, you can get a coffee and a meal for under $20.
